The guest house -or guest mansion- 'Lekeche' stands in the middle of the beautiful region of Bukovina, in the west of Ukraine and not that far from the border with Romania. In this region are the foothills of the Carpathian mountains. A beautiful landscape with fresh mountain air, clean water and friendly and hospitable people.

This small and comfortable hotel is an excellent place from where you can explore the Bukovina region, walk through the forests and along mountain paths or go backpacking. Or you just sit down outside in the sun, or in the shade, with a good book and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Examples of excursions that we can offer you, are:

• cultural and historical sightseeing in Bukovina. Examples are historical towns, churches, museums and monasteries;
• the city of Chernivtsy, also called 'Little Paris', with its most interesting architecture.
• a flight over the Bukovina region;
• short or long hikes along mountain paths;
• a walk through the local National Natural Reserve;
• lectures about herbal medicine and herbal tea;
• and lovely evenings at a camp fire.

Of course these excursions can be done in groups and individually. If you already know where you want to go and what you want to see, we make a tour based on your wishes. We provide professional guides and interpreters. For entering Ukraine a visa is not needed for Western Europeans.
